Exploration for iron ore is to be carried out at Carmolachem Moll Cudnem Iron Ore Mine, located at Cudnem village in Bicholim taluk in North Goa in Goa. The proposed rated capacity of the mine is at 0.10 mtpa from a mineable reserves of 0.867 mt. It may be noted that the mine was not in operation for many years and its last operation was in seventies. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 15.7 million.
